The Unforgettable Weekends (Lifestyle)
I, Joy, David, Lucas and kate. Together, we are five best friends who always seem so excited when the weekend draws near because we like to spend time together having fun. Immediately after a work packed week, Friday evenings usually appear to be the peak of anxiety of what the weekend holds ahead of us.
When the question pops out amongst us where to start the weekend from and then hit it off together as a company. Jake, well that's me. Would often suggest "let's head to the gym, so we can get in shape". On a few occasions we all come to agree on this. Scattered around the neighborhood, our houses are only between 3 to 5 blocks apart from each other. Though Joy & Lucas are siblings, which means they live together their house is the furthest away. Kate and David have houses next to each other and my house is just 2 blocks away separated by an adjoining street which makes it seem a little cut out from the rest.
Weekends to us is fun all through. So, we do what we can to make it worthwhile. At least something to feel nostalgic about when it's all said and done. David's place seems to be the perfect spot for us to converge and have an awesome Friday movie night experience together. Selecting a movie playlist is just one of the things we do before kick starting our childhood habits. Eating together is quite fun to us. What makes it so much fun is that we prepare the food ourselves and doing so was very exciting. Not at all times we cooked though, sometimes, David's mom usually tells us, "Hello everyone I've prepared something delicious, it's Dave's favourite". Talking of favourites, David's choices were very similar to the rest of ours. So it's always a 'Yeah' scenario.
To cap it all up maximizing ones weekend for an optimum experience is the sure way to go. The next morning we hit the gym after such a fantastic night at Dave's place. About an hour time we were done with our workouts. Later on we drove to the bar to have few bottles of drinks after that we went to the cinema to catch the premier of a movie we had been keen on watching. So incredible it was to be in such an atmosphere of like minds that I thought to myself, it's as good as it gets.
Meanwhile there was football match taking place simultaneously. And we had just the choice of leaving the girls behind to catch our guyish contentions. As interesting as it seems two top English teams were playing. So we drove off to the stadium.
Impecable timing, as it was. We had arrived at the stadium just at the blast of the starting whistle.
Thank goodness tickets were still available as at the time we got there.
We got sitted on the colourful plastic coated terraces to cheer our home team to victory. Just as Kate and Joy were having a nice time at the cinema. We were having just as much in equal terms in a match that lived up to its billing as both teams rendered it in a high scoring format where the home side came out victorious.
Riotous and ecstatic we were when we left the sporting arena after such a pleasant result. We meant the girls at the cinema and picked them up and from there went to the club to join the party!
